Known internationally for their A-list client portfolio and award-winning media campaigns, J Public Relations (JPR) has appointed Ali Lundberg, long-term JPR executive and PR veteran, to President to helm the agency alongside Founding Partner Jamie Sigler O’Grady and Partner Sarah Evans. Following nine years at JPR, Lundberg brings 20 years of PR and marketing expertise to her new role as President as she continues to propel the agency into global stardom for its work in the communications space.
A highly-regarded industry leader and above-all a supportive agency mentor, Lundberg brings a beautiful sense of creativity to masterfully execute results-driven and trend-centric campaigns. A proven PR and social media pro, she started at JPR in 2011 as Director of Publicity and has since carved a fresh path of agency leadership during her time at the agency. She continues to engineer the strategy and creative direction for JPR’s high-profile clients including Under Canvas, Great Wolf Lodge, Disney Signature Experiences and oversaw the launch of InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown that forever changed the LA skyline. It is her powerful expertise in earned media strategies, digital marketing and trend forecasting that have helped launch, shape and reimagine iconic hotels, restaurants and wellness destinations globally including Washington School House Hotel in Park City, L’Auberge de Sedona and MacArthur Place in Sonoma. During her tenure at the agency, JPR has achieved several awards and accolades including PR News PR Firm of the Year and PR News Top Places to Work and most recently Observer placed JPR at #36 in the coveted annual Power 50 List, the agency’s fourth year in a row on the list.
“Ali is a highly regarded mentor to our team, a trusted confidant to our clients, a respected industry professional and a positive change-maker for our organization. She has been instrumental to the agency’s growth and evolution throughout the past decade, navigating all of the stages of business we’ve experienced from start-up to fast growth, to innovation within the digital and social space and most recently managing the impact COVID-19 has brought. We are confident in what the future will bring with Ali now serving as President of JPR,” says JPR Founding Partner Jamie Lynn O’Grady.
Beyond viral, hard-hitting media results, revenue-driving social media campaigns and influential partnerships, Lundberg is the recipient of many awards including the prestigious PRSA Copper Anvils, PRSA Edward L. Bernays, and HSMAI Adrian awards in the category of media relations. She served as an executive committee member for PRSA Travel + Tourism for eight years and in 2017, she had the esteemed position of chairing its national conference in Palm Springs. Prior to J Public Relations, Lundberg was the Director of Communications for Enchantment Group, including Enchantment Resort and Mii amo, a Destination Spa in Sedona. Her personal passion for the wellness space seamlessly transitions into her work-life – she has led the Rancho La Puerta account for eight years and was the original concept creator of the now award-winning L’Apothecary Spa at L’Auberge de Sedona and the creative mind behind the Apres Sleep concept at Edgewood Tahoe for guests to wake-up to a daily wellness experience.
She is the backbone of JPR’s culture committee, leading many notable agency-wide initiatives over the years including the JPR’s beloved Office Swap program, as well as mentoring individual employees through their career developments. This year, in the midst of the global pandemic and battling the impact it had on both the agency and the industries we serve, Lundberg was still able to empower the team and find creative ways to virtually foster culture while team members were scattered and dealing with the challenges faced by COVID-19. In 2019, she created the agency’s first-ever Connect & Collaborate, an agency-wide summit aimed at enhancing the team’s conscious leadership skills.
As JPR robustly expands its services in the realm of real estate, health and wellness, and lifestyle, Lundberg will be responsible for developing and leading innovative programs that are powerfully distinctive, relevant and measurable. She will oversee the management and unity of JPR’s multiple offices in San Diego, LA, New York, Nashville, London and Toronto. She will consistently innovate and lead the agency through new ideas, best practices, and develop resourceful ways to help the global teams work more efficiently and cohesively.
