Leading strategic communications and government affairs firm The Glover Park Group (GPG) announced that Megan Moore has joined the firm as a Vice President. Moore will work in GPG’s Government Affairs division, helping a myriad of clients navigate complex situations by leveraging her extensive knowledge of the financial services industry specifically, and government relations challenges broadly.
Moore comes to GPG from the Federal Housing Finance Agency, where she served as Special Advisor to the Director. In this role, Moore advised Director Mel Watt on supervisory and regulatory matters and managed housing finance policy issues, including loss mitigation and neighborhood stabilization efforts. Moore also served in the Office of Congressional Affairs and Communications, where she oversaw all aspects of the agency’s communications and managed the agency’s relationship with Congress. From 2009 to 2014, Moore worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury as a Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of Legislative Affairs. Among several achievements, she helped engage the House Financial Services Committee and Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee on financial regulatory reform legislation associated with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
“We’re excited and delighted to have successfully recruited Megan here to GPG,” said Joel Johnson, Managing Director and head of GPG’s Government Affairs division. “She’ll be an immediate impact player for the firm and our clients across the board.”
From 2006 to 2009, Moore served as a Legislative Assistant to former Chicago Representative Jesse Jackson Jr., where her work focused on the House Committee on Appropriations. Moore honed her campaign management skills as a Regional Field Director on Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.
