MP&F Strategic Communications names Mary Elizabeth Davis as Partner in firm

by | Oct 5, 2020

Mary Elizabeth Davis, a highly regarded leader in creative communications and brand strategy, has been named a partner at MP&F Strategic Communications.

Davis joined MP&F in February 2017 as the firm’s first director of creative services. In that role, she led an award-winning team of graphic designers and website developers in creating campaigns on behalf of MP&F’s 100-plus clients, such as Nissan North America, Asurion, Log Still Distillery and ADS Security, among other clients. She grew the department’s revenue, nearly doubled the number of department staff, expanded the agency’s branding strategy, and added UX design and front-end web development to its capabilities.

“Mary Elizabeth’s energy and enthusiastic leadership have made a mark on the entire company. She has opened doors for new business opportunities, and she is a tremendous asset to our firm,” said Alice Chapman, MP&F’s managing partner. “My partners and I are excited to have her join our ownership group.”

In addition to Chapman, the other MP&F partners are David FoxKaty Varney, Keith Miles and Jennifer Brantley.

“To say that I’m honored to take an ownership role in one of the most respected agencies in the Southeast is an understatement,” Davis said. “I am excited to begin this next chapter in my career and to work alongside an incredible group of partners and our talented staff – who I consider to be the best in the communications industry.”

Davis previously spent 10 years working at Southern Living in Birmingham, Ala., where she last served as managing editor. At Southern Living, she was responsible for directing brand operations and overseeing the production of editorial content.

She serves on the Strategic Planning Committee for St. Cecilia Academy and on the marketing and communications advisory committee at the Adventure Science Center. She is a member of the American Advertising Federation of Nashville and AIGA Nashville.

Davis is a Nashville native and a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., where she studied graphic design and communications. She and her husband, Evan, are the parents of two young sons.
