SimplyBe Celebrates Two Years as Chicago-based Personal Branding Agency

by | Nov 14, 2018

Jessica Zweig, founder and CEO of SimplyBe., a full-service personal branding and brand management agency, has accomplished in two years what many would-be entrepreneurs dream of—combining her expertise (digital marketing) with her passion (authenticity) to create a one-of-a-kind new business, and rather quickly achieving growth and results for a dynamic roster of innovative clients. As SimplyBe. celebrates its two-year anniversary this fall, Zweig is thankful for the individuals and companies that have signed on to work with her team, and she’s proud that SimplyBe. has built a reputation as the only personal branding agency in Chicago.

“There are very few people who are owning the personal branding space from an agency, consulting and workshop model, which is how I have structured SimplyBe.,” says Zweig, a renowned expert on personal branding who is often quoted in national media. She designed the SimplyBe. model around her biggest passion – authenticity. “People who show up unapologetically and fully expressed are the most attractive, interesting and intriguing people in the world to me. And the same can be said for businesses.”

As SimplyBe. turns two, it is celebrating monumental growth and is on track to earn $1.5 million in annual revenue. The agency serves an extensive roster of more than 20 individual and corporate clients—from established C-suite executives and individuals who want to enhance their personal brands to organizations seeking to introduce or elevate their brand recognition. Clients include Larry Jordan, founder of rail technology company Wi-Tronix; serial technology entrepreneur and CEO of Vertex Software Dan Murray; and Erin Coupe, vice president at CBRE, as well as globally recognized names such as Nike, Red Bull and Heineken.

SimplyBe. builds its clients’ brands by helping them identify their passions and what makes them unique, then finding innovative ways to enhance their exposure, introduce them to new audiences and, ultimately, bring them more business opportunities and revenue. Successes include growing a client’s Facebook Live views from 100 per video to 25,000 in less than a year, and increasing another client’s blog viewership by 385 percent in one month (resulting in new business and joint venture opportunities for the client). In addition to client work, SimplyBe. hosts workshops on topics such as leveraging the power of social media.

The SimplyBe. formula has proven to be tremendously successful for the young company. “We are helping our clients harness this powerful force of sharing their authentic selves with the world, to achieve career and business success and personal fulfillment, as well as make a positive impact on the world,” Zweig says.

Zweig had an impressive track record prior to founding SimplyBe. in 2016. She started two successful Chicago-based companies before the age of 40 and worked on digital marketing with some of the biggest brands in the world. After founding Chicago’s largest digital lifestyle magazine for women, CheekyChicago.com, which reached more than 100,000 millennials through a series of events and marketing initiatives, Zweig became prominent in digital marketing and branding circles and a female face of inspiration for men and women worldwide. This set the stage for her next venture, SimplyBe.

Zweig says she plans to build on her agency’s rapid growth by expanding the organization’s own digital community and planning additional targeted workshops, mentoring initiatives and events that give people the tools and information they are seeking. She also plans to provide more corporate opportunities, such as targeted content and one-on-one executive consulting for brands that include media, technology, finance and lifestyle. “My mission is to infuse more humanity into business, by partnering with companies that want to drive greater authenticity inside their organizations,” Zweig adds.

SimplyBe., which has its headquarters at 1720 Division St. in Chicago, also is planning to establish a satellite office in another major market in 2019.

“These couple years have been a monumental period of my life, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve taken SimplyBe. in a short amount of time,” Zweig says. “We still have a lot of ground to cover and many ways to make a difference for our clients and the world. I’m looking forward to groundbreaking new opportunities in 2019 and beyond.”
