by | Nov 7, 2019

Teak Media + Communication, Boston’s only B-Corp certified public relations firm, announced the hire of Lauren Ren as account coordinator. In her role, Ren will assist Teak team members on client campaigns and ensure the Teak office runs smoothly on a daily basis.

Ren brings social media and customer service expertise to Teak. Before coming to Teak, Ren served as project coordinator at SAI Global, a risk management, standards compliance and information business, where she provided administrative assistance to the Chief Marketing Officer and assisted with general office management and client projects. As a student, she worked at Boston University’s PRLab, the nation’s oldest student-run PR agency. At Teak, Ren combines her administrative experience with public relations skills and a passion for helping mission-based organizations to assist in helping client campaigns succeed.

“I am so excited to be working with Teak’s clients, which help people and the planet,” says Ren. “I look forward to learning new skills and growing my career at Teak, a place where everyone truly believes in empowering socially responsible companies and nonprofits for the good of the community.”

A Queens, N.Y. native, Ren lived in Hong Kong and Shanghai where she completed high school before moving to Boston. She currently resides in Cambridge and holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Boston University.

“We expect Lauren to be an asset to our team,” says Jackie Russell, Teak Media’s founder and president. “Cultivating young professions in the art of socially responsible business in an honor and part of our mission.”
