by | Jan 11, 2023

Coyne Public Relations announced it has been selected to provide public relations support for The Play Date, a single-day, invitation-only media event on March 8, 2023, hosted by The Toy Association, producers of Toy Fair and Adventure Media & Events, publisher of The Toy Book and The Toy Insider. As part of the partnership, Coyne PR will work to secure media attendance by promoting the opportunities that the event offers, such as direct access to the toys being released throughout 2023. The campaign will focus on a comprehensive media relations program targeting traditional media outlets, key industry experts and VIP influencers, including pre-show, on-site and post-show support.

“We are excited to be partnering with Coyne PR in support of our brand-new industry event,” said Kimberly Carcone, Executive Vice President of global market events at The Toy Association. “We have a longstanding relationship with Coyne PR and because of our previous projects, their professionalism, dedication and belief in the power of play, we are confident they are the ideal team to bring our new Play Date to life.”

Taking place at etc.venues 360 Madison in New York City, the event will serve as the ultimate destination for press and influencers to get hands-on with products that have yet to hit store shelves, providing an additional level of excitement for coverage. Together, The Toy Association and Adventure Media & Events will also give attendees access to exclusive insight and commentary regarding the state of the toy industry and the upcoming trends for 2023.

“We cannot wait to bring The Play Date to life this spring with the help of the incredibly talented Coyne PR team,” says Adventure Media & Events CEO Laurie Schacht. “Along with the Toy Association, our teams are perfectly poised to introduce the media to hundreds of brand new awesome toys and playthings early in the year.”

“In addition to having a robust background in supporting major industry events, Coyne PR has a strong toy practice and understands the vital role these events have for toy manufacturers and media,” said Sue Murphy, Senior Vice President at Coyne PR. “With Toy Fair moving to the fall, we look forward to helping make The Play Date a success this spring.”
