Media Opp: Booking Celebrities and Thought Leaders for Oprah Winfrey Network

by | Jul 18, 2019

The Oprah Winfrey Network is booking black female celebrities and thought leaders to be featured on a groundbreaking four-part Prime Time series, “Black Women OWN The Conversation,” to premiere exclusively on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network—seen in over 80 million households) this fall.

“Black Women OWN the Conversation” will feature a panel of celebrity guests, thought leaders and 100 black women with a focus on key issues that matter to them. It will elicit diverse and honest opinions, prompt transformative conversations and uncover surprising solutions in a town hall format. Topics include: love and relationships, motherhood, beauty, and mind, body and soul. “Black Women OWN the Conversation” follows the format of the PBS Series, “Take On America with OZY,” and has been updated for the OWN audience. Emmy-winning presenter Carlos Watson will host these four one-hour episodes for black women, starring Black women. “Black Women OWN The Conversation” is co-produced by OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and OZY Media.

Taping will be in Atlanta on August 6th through August 9th, and producers would be delighted if the celebrity can join them on set for one of their tape dates. They will provide airfare, hotel, ground transportation and professional glam.
