Scott Circle Communications to Provide No-Cost PR Training to Select Nonprofits in DC Area

by | Dec 5, 2019

Scott Circle Communications (SCC) has launched The Purpose PRogram, a new professional development course in public relations designed to help local nonprofit organizations servicing Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. This no-cost training is a new initiative designed to strengthen the communications skills of nonprofit teams in order to boost their organization’s public profile.

Through hands-on activities, workshops, guest lectures and mentorships, the participants will graduate from the course having developed their own strategic communications plans that they will be able to immediately implement. Trainings will occur once a month, over a six-month period. Led by members of the SCC team, each session will focus on key public relations skills such as storytelling, messaging, media relations and digital media.

“After working with many mission-driven organizations for almost 15 years, we have developed a unique understanding of how to help nonprofits use strategic communications to get their messages in front of the right audiences,” said Laura Gross, president of Scott Circle Communications. “If we can play a small role in helping local nonprofits be more impactful, our entire community will benefit.”

Applications for The Purpose PRogram are now open. For more information about The PRogram, please click here.
