Spur appoints Levelwing as AOR

by | Jul 23, 2020

Independent agency Levelwing has been named agency of record for HR, payroll and compliance solution provider Spur. Levelwing will manage creative, media, analytics, content strategy and development and SEO to drive customer acquisition off the back of continued growth for the Spur business over the past year. The first creative and media campaign launched this month, and is not intended to capture a current trend, but rather strategically solve a large addressable market issue.

“We see our Levelwing partnership as an opportunity to reach more businesses looking to save time and money on burdensome HR and payroll tasks, and to help provide a happier, more satisfying experience for its hourly employees,” said Glenn Clayton, Founder and CEO, Spur. “There are 80 million U.S. hourly workers who are underserved and need ways to improve their financial well-being. With Levelwing’s digital marketing expertise, we can reach our goal of partnering with employers to help provide these essential workers with financial products and services and other employment benefits that help them live more full and happy lives. It’s a win-win for these workers and the businesses that depend on them,” added Clayton.

“It is now more important than ever for businesses to support workers,” said Jeff Adelson-Yan, President and Co-Founder, Levelwing. “Spur has a high-integrity team that is solving modern day and future challenges for those that have typically been underserved. Creating jobs and bringing needed benefits and flexibility for hourly workers is a necessity and Spur is uniquely positioned to help these workers and the businesses that employ them succeed,” he added.

Spur has raised more than $14 million in a Series A funding round with participation from Mark Bezos and John Griffin, founder of Blue Ridge Capital, and Third Prime, marking one of the largest venture rounds ever raised by an Alabama-based company.
