Arizona Republic: Detroit Free Press, Des Moines Register, and Indianapolis Star are among about 100 Gannett newspapers that have undergone redesigns giving them a similar appearance to USA Today. All are part of Gannett’s USA Today network.

Chicago Sun-Times: promotes Chris Fusco (@FuscoChris) to Editor-in-Chief.

Daily Beast: hires Taylor Lorenz (@TaylorLorenz) as a Tech Reporter. She will move from New York to San Francisco after the holidays.

DNAinfo Chicago: Jen Sabella (@jensabella) has left to launch a new website for The Onion.

El Paso Times: promotes Zahira Torres (@zahiratorres) to Editor and News Director, replacing Robert Moore, who left.

Time: hires W.J. Hennigan (@wjhenn) as National Security Correspondent.

Wall Street Journal: Carolyn Cui (@carolyn_cui) has left to become an Investment Analyst.

Washington Post: hires Allison Klein (@AlliKlein) as the Writer and Anchor of “Inspired Life,” which profiles people with inspiring life stories. She was previously a crime reporter for the paper. Anton Troianovski (@antontroian) has been named Moscow Bureau Chief, effective Nov. 13.

Broadcasting

Consumerist: has ceased publication (@consumerist). Some content will be incorporated into the Consumer Reports website. Consumers Union acquired the watchdog site in 2008.

CNBC Digital: hires Alex Sherman (@sherman4949) as M&A Reporter effective in December. He will focus on M&A and venture capital among technology businesses.

KTXL-TV: promotes Monika Diaz (@moninews) to News Director.

Business and Commerce

Marketplace: hires Sarah Moughty (@smoughts) as Executive Director of Digital.

Consumer Lifestyle

Elle: hires Emma Rosenblum (@EmmaRosenblum) as Executive Editor. Katie Connor (@katielcon) joins as Deputy Editor.

Redbook: Meredith Rollins (@mckrollins) has left.

Teen Vogue will cease print publication next year. GQ, Glamour, Allure and Architectural Digest will reduce frequency from monthly to 11 times per year. Bon Appétit, W and Condé Nast Traveler will also reduce frequency.

Healthcare and Medicine

American Diabetes Association: Kelly Rawlings has left. Her responsibilities included oversight of the ADA’s patient magazine, Diabetes Forecast. She’s now Head of Content Development for Vida Health, a San Francisco start-up that provides online health coaching services.

Politics, Government and Education

Splinter: hires Clio Chang (@cliomiso) has been appointed Staff Writer.
