Fishman PR, the largest franchise public relations firm in the United States, announced it has partnered with PUNCH Canada to launch Fishman Canada, a new public relations agency to serve the specific needs of franchise brands across Canada.
Chicago-based Fishman PR, recognized as the premier public relations agency for franchise brands in North America, said the new company will focus on providing communications services for Canada’s booming franchise sector. A key component of Fishman Canada’s service offering will be helping American brands with Master Franchisees in Canada as well as Canadian franchisors who want to recruit franchisees.
“Canada has more franchises per capita than almost anywhere in the world,” said Brad Fishman, Chairman of Fishman Canada. “We see the opportunities to grow franchise brands and apply our 27 years in the franchise industry in a country where franchising is the 12th largest industry.”
Toronto-based PUNCH was a natural choice for the new venture, he said. PUNCH is the agency of record for the Canadian Franchise Association as well as several nationally recognized franchise brands. These clients will now be served by Fishman Canada.

Fishman Canada’s core activities will be spearheading franchise lead generation, as well as consumer brand awareness at the national and local level for companies. Canadian franchises will benefit from the opportunity to work with communications professionals who can provide custom solutions to expanding their footprint in Canada. The new company will be actively supporting member companies of the Canadian Franchise Association, who want to expand their presence and reach in markets across the country.
Fishman Canada will operate as a separate company, located at PUNCH Canada’s John Street offices in downtown Toronto.
