Associated Press: hires Lisa Mascaro (@LisaMascaro) as Chief Congressional Correspondent.

Chicago Reader: hires Mark Konkol (@konkolskorner) as Executive Editor.

Detroit Free Press: Stephen Henderson (@freep) has left.

New York Daily News: Rob Moore and Alexander Jones have left (@NYDailyNews).

New York Times: hires Kim Murphy (@kimmurphy) as an Enterprise Editor on the National desk, effective in March. She currently oversees national and foreign news coverage for the L.A. paper.

Philadelphia Daily News: Howard Gensler has left (@PhillyDailyNews).

Philadelphia Inquirer: hires Sarah Gantz (@SarahGantz) as a Healthcare Reporter.

Reuters: promotes Paritosh Bansal (@paritoshbansal) to Managing Editor for news in the Americas. He will move to New York in mid-March.

Time: Siobhan O’Connor (@siobhannyc) has left to become VP of Editorial for Medium.

Tronc: (@tronc) agrees to sell the Los Angeles Times (@latimes) and San Diego Union-Tribune (@sdut) to Nant Capital, a company led by L.A. billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong. The deal is expected to close in the late first quarter or early second quarter. As part of the deal, the Times will assume ownership of the Tribune Washington bureau. The bureau will continue to provide coverage for Tronc newspapers, at least during a transition period.

Wall Street Journal: hires Rory Satran as Fashion Director for the “Off Duty” section. Dennis K. Berman has left.

Washington Post: promotes Marisa Bellack (@MarisaBellack) to Europe Editor, effective Feb. 26. Mary Jo Murphy (@MJoMurph) has been named an Editor on the Outlook/PostEverything team, also effective Feb. 26. Tony Romm (@TonyRomm) joins as a Technology Policy Reporter, effective Feb. 20.

Broadcasting

NBC News: hires Heidi Przybyla (@heidiprzybyla) as a National Politics Reporter.

Consumer Lifestyle

Food & Wine: hires Melanie Hansche (@MelHansche) as Deputy Director. Karen Shimizu joins (@karemizu) as Deputy Editor.

Marie Claire: hires Sally Holmes (@sallyholmes) as Digital Director.

Teen Vogue: hires Samhita Mukhopadhyay (@TheSamhita) as Executive Editor.

Healthcare and Medicine

AIS Health: (@AISHealth )has rebranded its healthcare newsletters. Health Plan Week is now Health Plan Weekly. Medicare Advantage News is now Radar on Medicare Advantage. Specialty Pharmacy News is now Radar on Specialty Pharmacy. Drug Benefit News is now Radar on Drug Benefits. AIS Health has also launched Market Access Spotlight, a monthly digital newsletter that will be sent to clients of parent company Managed Markets Insight & Technology. It will focus on issues similar to those covered by Radar on Specialty Pharmacy and Radar on Drug Benefits, but will target an audience of pharma executives instead of payers. Direct queries to Managing Editor Angela Maas, who also oversees the specialty pharmacy newsletter.
