Newsweek: Linley Sanders (@LinleyAnn) and Jack Moore have left.

New York Times: hires Rumaan Alam (@Rumaan) as Special Projects Editor for the Books desk.

USA Today: appoints Nicole Carroll (@nicole_carroll) as Editor-in-Chief, replacing Joanne Lipman, who left. She begins in March.

Wall Street Journal: promotes Lynn Cook (@LynnJCook) to Management Bureau Chief.
