News Journal (Wilmington, Del.): hires Jeffrey Neiburg (@Jeff_Neiburg) as a Business Reporter.

New York magazine: hires Daise Bedolla (@daisebedolla) as Associate Social Media Editor.

New York Times hires Jan Ransom as a General Assignment Reporter for the Metro section. She begins Oct. 2. Shreeya Sinha (@ShreeyaSinha) is now Editor of Operations for National. Her responsibilities will include journalistic partnerships.

NPR: promotes Andrea Kissack (@andreakissack) to Chief Science Editor. She replaces Anne Gudenkauf (@AnneGudenkauf), who moved to a part-time role as Supervising Editor of the “Invisibilia” podcast.

Time: promotes Massimo Calabresi (@calabresim) to Washington Bureau Chief. Deputy Washington Bureau Chief Alex Altman (@aaltman82) will add National Editor to his title.

Washington Post: promotes Steven Ginsberg (@stevenjay) to National Editor. He replaces Scott Wilson (@PostScottWilson), who became Senior National Correspondent.

Broadcasting

BuzzFeed: hires Rachel Zarrell (@rachel) as New Initiatives Lead. She will oversee the launch of new lifestyle-related products. Thomas Frank (@ByTomFrank) has been named National Security and Counterintelligence Reporter, effective Oct. 2. Mike Giglio (@mike_giglio) will become Senior National Security Correspondent in Washington. Adolfo Flores (@aflores) moves to National Security Correspondent with a focus on immigration issues.

Nashville Business Journal: hires Joel Stinnett (@NSHBIZstinnett) as Healthcare and Technology Reporter.

Construction, Real Estate and Manufacturing

PMMI Media Group: promotes Matt Reynolds (@packagingworld) to Editor of Packaging World.

Consumer Lifestyle

American Salon: hires Kelley Donahue (@AmericanSalon) as Editorial Director. Brett Vinovich joins as Publisher.

EatingWell Media Group: hires Tiffany Ehasz (@EatingWell) as Publisher.

Knot, The: hires Sophie Ross (@sophrossss) as Assistant Editor.

Vanity Fair: hires Anna Lisa Raya (@annalraya) as Executive Hollywood Editor.

Root, The: promotes Danielle Belton (@blacksnob) to Editor-in-Chief. Genetta Adams (@GenettaAdams) replaces her as Managing Editor. Yesha Callahan (@YeshaCallahan) is now Deputy Managing Editor.

Runner’s World: hires Matt Gross (@worldmattworld) as Digital Director, overseeing the website and social media channels. Marissa Stephenson (@marissastphnsn) joins as Deputy Editor. Brian Dalek (@bdalek) is now Senior Digital Editor.
