With members from companies like Coca-Cola, Edelman, and Ogilvy PR, we’ll certainly be in for a treat!
5. (EVENT) #PRSAICON Link Up – Monday, Nov. 9, 7–9 p.m
We love meeting PR and communications professionals that we’ve been interacting with on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. That’s why we can’t wait to see new and familiar faces at the #PRSAICON Link Up!
6. (WORKSHOP) The Elephant in the Room: How Native Advertising Challenges Everything – Sunday, Nov. 8, 2:45–3:45 p.m.
Native advertising has been coined “the most overused and least understood” marketing buzzword currently in existence. This trend is gaining traction in the PR and communications industry, that’s why we’re especially curious to see what new challenges and opportunities it will present in the future.
This workshop presents a triple threat of panelists: David Weinand, Senior Vice-President at Edgell Communications; Larry Otsuka, Director – PR initiatives at Outbrain; and Ellen LaNicca, Senior Vice-President – Consumer Practice at PadillaCRT. These three will discuss the importance of reader trust in native advertising, trends that catalyzed the native advertising movement, and tips to be successful when implementing these strategies.
